Veteran Warrior Al Marconi notched the first goal at the Kathryn Black Invitational and the Warriors never looked back in taking first place by going 3-0 in group play.

Sac Valley Flames came 2nd in group with Lady Villegas leading all scorers on the first day with 6 goals and 1 assist! Warriors beat Flames 1-0 in group play  and will square off in the title game on Sunday.

SLO Dragons took 3rd in Group play based on a 4-1 victory over the BORP Bombers and these 2 teams will battle for third in the first game of the day.

This was a truly awesome day of soccer and wonderful to see these athletes compete, support each other and have big fun doing it.

The goals of this event were to provide and encourage recreational and competition play opportunities for the athletes and teams that use "everyday" chairs to play power soccer. The advent of expensive high performance power soccer specific wheelchairs has created a competition/economic divide that leaves many potential athletes on the sidelines.
